Funding Neuro is this year’s school charity and is currently supporting S6 pupil Daniel who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in April. Daniel’s family and friends are hoping to raise £250,000 for the Glasgow-based charity, which aims to accelerate the development of new treatments for many of the most serious neurological conditions.
We hope that Daniel’s Hutchie family will help them smash this target by supporting the many fundraising initiatives our pupils will be organising over the coming months.
The recent S5 & S6 charity hockey match raised £1,710 and the first order of Hutchie face masks also raised a good amount. Our second mask order has been placed. The Great Hutchie Treasure Hunt is on November 1st and you can sign up to take part on The Great Hutchie Treasure Hunt Twitter feed.
The S6 year group is collecting for a luxury Christmas hamper raffle prize and the school hopes to source more luxury items to run a bigger Christmas raffle. Henry Honda has already kicked off our prize donation appeal and very kindly donated not one, not two, but three luxury Advent Calendars. A Hotel Chocolat one for all those with a sweet tooth, an Elle Beauty Calendar worth £530 and a Look Fantastic Beauty Advent Calendar worth £460. Thank you very much to our Henry Honda neighbours. If any other members of the Hutchie community would like to donate a prize or sponsor one via their business, please email BelchL@hutchesons.org.
