Rugby Schools Cup Final

Our Senior Rugby Boys competed in the Scottish Rugby Boys Schools Cup Finals in Edinburgh yesterday.

The Under 16s took on rivals Dunbar Grammar School in the Shield competition final but despite a great effort they were defeated.

The 1st XV players faced the Jedburgh Grammar and Hawick High Schools’ team in the final of the bowl competition and narrowly missed out losing 17-12.  All the boys performed well on the pitch and were cheered on by pupils, staff and parents, who had travelled through to the Oriam Complex at Herriot Watt University.

Alex Marshall, 1st XV captain, said: “It was a great experience and all the boys had a great time playing in the final. Thanks to everyone for their support.”
