Listening to talks from experienced economists showcasing real-world applications of Economics, pupils engaged in various activities, learning about game theory and financial market behaviour, exploring how expectations influence decisions and contribute to the formation of market bubbles.
Through participating in workshops, pupils discovered how economics and psychology explain everyday decision-making mistakes and were also introduced to the university application process, university life, study options, and career pathways.
Mrs Spinks, Economics & Business Studies Teacher, commented;
“It was an excellent learning experience, with the aim to inspire pupils by showing them how Economics is not only relevant to understanding the world, but also a practical tool for everyday decision-making.”
